SOLDIER-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor that was developed by the Materials Group.[4]
GEN2 overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The helmet is comprised of components similar to those used by Marines, and the helmet has a "Team endurance catalyst" intel suite.[1] In addition, the Soldier helmet is also noted for its low power consumption and is one of the most comfortable MJOLNIR helmets to wear due to the excessive attention paid to ergonomics in its design.[5]
The legs have a shield emitter junction, heavy plated boots, and fixed soft cases. The armor has a variable case structure, which extends combat as operators will have more equipment, ammo, and materials. All these cases have minimal disruption on most Spartan-IVs.[1] The armor also has both fixed and modular composite layers, and additional magnetic hard points.[6]
Development history[edit]
An early prototype of the SOLDIER-class was tested at ANVIL Station, wherein it was proven to be one of the MJOLNIR platform's most versatile variants.[7][3]
Having entered service by January 2553,[8] the Soldier-class variant was manufactured by the Materials Group and tested at the Damascus Testing Facility on Chi Ceti IV. Soldier-class armor functions in a support capacity on the battlefield as operators equipped with this armor can carry substantially more equipment than Spartans wearing other armor types, while retaining their field mobility and dexterity.[4]
Because of its adaptability, design features of the Soldier system have been integrated to some newer models of ODST armor.[9]
Usage[edit]
The Soldier variant maintains the second-highest adoption rate on the UNSC Infinity.[1]
GEN3 overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The GEN3 iteration of the SOLDIER helmet features a new revision of Materials Group's combat catalyst firmware. The fireteam synchronization features remained unfinished, but Dr. Halsey's interest may accelerate development.
In-game information[edit]
Halo 3 MCC[edit]
In the Halo: The Master Chief Collection version of Halo 3, the Soldier variant was added as part of Series 5: Anvil content. With the updated Halo 3 armor customization options, the players can now fit their Spartan with Soldier helmet, chest, shoulders, forearms and legs. The description of the armor pieces are the same for every set.

Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta[edit]
Soldier would return in the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta as an unlock within the beta's progression system. It featured only one variant.
Halo 5: Guardians[edit]
Solder would be among the launch-era armor that returned in Halo 5: Guardians as an armor permutation unlockable via the Requisition system. The Soldier set in Halo 5 utilizes the Soldier chest and shoulders, and unique forearms and leg armor. Unlike the Halo 5 beta, the Soldier set has three alternate skins in the final release: Dogface, Leatherneck, and Rebel. Soldier's body armor would also be shared with Scanner.
Halo Infinite[edit]
The Soldier helmet and its attachments are available for multiplayer Spartan armor customization on the Mark VII armor core in Halo Infinite. The helmet would be made cross-core with Season 05: Reckoning.
