Production notes[edit]

References[edit]

The Legionnaire armor owes its name to the armor worn by Roman Legionaries, particularly their helmet. This trend is also carried over into the armor's skins: Optio refers to the Roman Optio, who served as executive officers to Centurions, while Alaris refers to either a conscripted soldier from one of the Republic's client states or to a cavalryman of the Imperial Auxilia who were organized into formations called an Ala. As a Roman Legionary was necessarily a Roman citizen and an Auxilia Alaris was not, the Legionnaire Alaris armor skin is an oxymoron.
