Armor for Headhunters[1] |
WRATH-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR [GEN2] armor based on the Mark V EVA variant of the first-generation Mjolnir.[1]
Overview[edit]
Development history[edit]
Based on requests of veteran Spartan-II and Spartan-III operatives, the UNSC Ordnance Commission considered reassessing a refined and upgraded suit of the Mark V EVA variant. This led to the creation of the Wrath variant, which is more specifically a recreation of the custom armor set worn by Emile-A239, member of NOBLE Team.[2]
Formally an upgrade of existing Mark V EVA suits, the WRATH project was actually a cover to develop a new Mjolnir variant specifically tailored to the needs of future Headhunter teams.[1] The Spartan Operations contract for WRATH helmets was exceedingly specific regarding the pattern and method of reproduction for the death's head engraving on the visor.[3]
In-game information[edit]
Halo 5: Guardians[edit]
The Wrath armor was one of several armor sets implemented into Halo 5: Guardians in the Memories of Reach update; being unlockable through the Requisition system. Wrath, alongside the update's other armor is based on that of NOBLE Team, featured in Halo: Reach. The set has one skin variant, Anhur.[4]

References[edit]
The armor's name is a reference to the Monument to NOBLE Team, which describes Emile as "the merciless wrath of Noble." Continuing this, the armor's skin is named after the Egyptian god of war, Anhur.
