The Veles helmet is compatible with the Mirage IIC armor platform and bears a striking resemblance to the helmet of the GEN1 Mark VI Mirage armor.^[1]

The helmet is manufactured by Emerson Tactical Systems and was initially a testbed for experimental ECCM systems.^[1]

Trivia[edit]

Veles is a god of earth, waters, livestock, and the underworld in Slavic mythology.
Another potential source for the armor's name is veles, the singular form of velites, a class of light infantry and skirmishers in the Roman army of the mid-Republic.
