ARDENT-class Mjolnir is a MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor helmet variant, designed for the MJOLNIR Mark IV platform.[1]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The Ardent helmet presumably comes in two forms: a variant manufactured by the United Nations Space Command and a variant recreated by the crew of the UNSC Spirit of Fire while on Installation 00.[1][2][Note 1]
The Ardent helmet is compatible with the TAS/FES/BRONTES attachment, which—in the case of the Ardent helmet built aboard the Spirit of Fire—consists of a field-expedient combination of spare parts, Office of Naval Intelligence "BRONTES" firmware, and reused up-links designed by the Smart AI Isabel. The attachment provides the equipped Spartans on Installation 00 with a direct connection to the Spirit of Fire's targeting array.[3]
Development history[edit]
A variant of the Ardent helmet was developed for use with the MJOLNIR Mark IV platform aboard the UNSC Spirit of Fire, combining components forged on Installation 00 with traditional UNSC minifacturing.[1]
Usage[edit]
By 2560, Spartan-II August-099 of Omega Team wore an Ardent helmet.[2][4][Note 2]
In-game information[edit]
Halo Infinite[edit]
The Ardent helmet is available for multiplayer Spartan armor customization in Halo Infinite.

Notes[edit]
- ^ August-099 is depicted wearing an Ardent helmet with TAS/FES/BRONTES attachment in Halo: Hippocratica. This story is set in 2560, presumably while the Spirit of Fire and crew are still at Installation 00, at least according to Adam Andrews's knowledge of the vessel's whereabouts. The Armor Hall description of the helmet produced on the Spirit of Fire as "the 'home grown' ARDENT," which leaves room for the Spirit of Fire's Ardent to be a recreation of an existing Ardent-class helmet. As this is the most logical reconciliation of the discrepancy, this article describes it as such.
- ^ 343 Industries noted in a Canon Fodder post that both the concept art and the final Halo Wars 2 in-game models of Omega Team could be considered authoritative in some capacity, stating that "Discerning lore-lovers should feel free to consider both iterations fair game for expanding their imaginations." Furthermore, the 2022 edition of the Halo Encyclopedia utilizes said concept art for its depiction of Omega Team, firmly cementing their armors' canon status.
