Template:Armor Infobox Template:Article Quote ORBITAL-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor [GEN2] manufactured by Naphtali Contractor Corporation.[1]

Overview

The helmet includes a Buffalo A-29 comm suite, which works flawlessly with the ad-hoc and anarchic telecommunication networks found in many colonies.[2] On some models of the helmet the "Mark of the Breaker" skull is on the visor.[3]

The suit has momentum governing collar mounts,[3] a valence-fading blast shield, L4-0 braced generators, and tow-grip isolation packs for quick yet stable mobility in zero-g settings.[4]

Development history

Developed by the Naphtali Contractor Corporation, the Orbital variant was tested and was the first to survive the Buffalo Breaker Yards testing site, granting it a skull on the visor on some models of it, known as the "Mark of the Breaker".[3]

The suit is a modified variant following the same production lines as the EVA-class Mjolnir, though it was developed specifically for orbital and suborbital combat, where conditions similar to space often converge with harsh atmosphere and gravity-borne challenges.[3]

It was also field-tested during the battles in the skyhooks and space elevators on Earth and Luna during the Battle of Earth.[5] This test and success of it lead this armor to be adopted by Spartan-IV's.[3]

Usage

Adoption of this set hasnt overtaken EVA. Though War Games has proven Orbitals viability repeatedly.[3]

Patrolling Spartans equipped with ORBITAL-class Mjolnir armor are a common sight near Earth's orbital tethers and military space stations.[2]

Trivia

  • The skins in Halo 5: Guardians all refer to positions of planets in relation to the sun. Perihelion is closest, aphelion is farthest, and an equinox is when day and night are equal in length.
