HELIOSKRILL-class Mjolnir is a variant of MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor manufactured by Kolaar Manufactorum.[2]

Design details[edit]

The Helioskrill armor is fully compatible with all Mjolnir GEN2 techsuits, and implements even heavily classified and encrypted Mjolnir neural interface protocols, despite the Sangheili prodigy having only minimal UNSC assistance available to her. Other systems are modified versions of those found in traditional Sangheili combat harnesses, such as the pinch fusion reactor and nanolaminate armor plates.[1]

Development history[edit]

The first—and so far only—Mjolnir variant not designed by humans, and named after a predatory creature native to Sanghelios, the Helioskrill's pattern-language was composed by a Sangheili artisan-armorer of unsurpassed brilliance and insight in the arts of war, inspired to test her skill against the best that humanity could muster.[1][2] The Helioskrill armor was manufactured by Kolaar Manufactorum and is available in limited numbers to the UNSC through an undisclosed agreement with them.[1]

Usage[edit]

The Helioskrill armor remains one of the most exotic Mjolnir sets in the Spartan armory. Spartan commanders use the possibility of its acquisition as an incentive to drive their troops to victory in War Games exercises and historical simulations.[1]

Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta[edit]

Helioskrill was first introduced in the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta. Featuring one variant, Helioskrill was exclusive to players who earned the "Legend" achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Helioskrill, alongside Nightfall armor, Mark VI GEN1, and Mark VI GEN1 Scarred were the only four armor sets in the beta to be exclusive to achievements unlocked outside of the beta.

Halo 5: Guardians[edit]

Helioskrill returned as an armor set in Halo 5: Guardians. Players who unlocked Helioskrill through Halo: The Master Chief Collection would have their beta unlock carry over to the final release, however, Helioskrill would also be available within the general REQ pool like other cosmetics. The Helioskrill set has two alternate skin designs, Bloodgorger and Warbound, both of which were added in the Hammer Storm update.

The Helioskrill armor returns and is available for multiplayer Spartan armor customization in Halo Infinite.

Production notes[edit]

Featuring a physical design very much akin to the armor utilized by the Arbiters, the Helioskrill armor was known A012 during the production of Halo 5: Guardians.[3] In keeping with the aesthetic of Sangheili and their armor, the Warbound skin released during Hammer Storm features a painted hand design much like Jul 'Mdama's own armor. The armor's return in Halo Infinite would see the addition of a helmet attachment leaning more into the Arbiter armor the design was based on.
