Template:Armor Infobox Template:Article Quote VENATOR-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor.[1].

Development history

GEN1

The VENATOR-class system was manufactured by Lethbridge Industrial as their flagship product.[2] The Venator armor gained prominence during the Covenant's attack on Concord in 2551 for its improvement of user opportunity in hand-to-hand and single-enemy combat.[1]

GEN2

The lessons learned from Concord and advancements made with the project during the waning years of the Covenant War were only fully realized within the eventual VENATOR variant built upon the new GEN2 Mjolnir platform.[3] After the Requiem Campaign, Lethbridge Industrial improved the Venator's power management subsystem and reduced it's maintenance requierements. By October 2558, the armor's firmware incorporated a generalization of predictive targeting algorithms originally created to assist new Spartans in close-quarters combat.[4]

Trivia

  • In Halo Online, the Venator armor is wrongly called "Stealth armor" instead.
  • The three skins for Venator armor in Halo 5: Guardians are named after three types of gladiators.
  • The helmet's "eye slits" are considered a visor (and thus customizable) in Halo 5: Guardians, rather than being glowing white lights as they are in Halo 4.
  • In the Alpha build of Halo Online, the STEALTH-class Mjolnir armor uses the Venator design but with glowing lights through it.
