VIPER-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR [GEN2][1] and MJOLNIR [GEN3] armors.

GEN2 Overview

Design details

The Viper is fully compatible with Mjolnir standards but uses a proprietary power pack and neural interface of Vestol Corporation's own design.[1]

Development history

This suit was developed by the Vestol Corporation.[1]

Usage

Spartans with extensive experience on the VIPER variant have displayed both statistically significant increases in aggression levels and measurable improvements in reaction times.[1]

GEN3/Rakshasa Overview

Design details

The Viper helmet is compatible with both GEN3 and Rakshasa armors. Like its GEN2 armor variant, the Viper helmet uses a neural interface that increases agression and improve the Spartans' reaction times.[2] The Viper helmet is compatible with the FCI-X/ANPAO attachment which, like the Viper Shroud attachment for the Street Viper helmet, reverse-engineers functions from the Z-5080 Promethean vision; these functions allow the detection and targeting of Flood biomass.[3]

Development history

Just like its GEN2 predecessor, the Viper helmet was developed by the Vestol Corporation.[2]

Usage

The Viper GEN3 variant weaponizes its neural interface quirks to suit the needs of Spartans assigned to Flood containment Fireteams.[2]

In-game information

Halo 5: Guardians

Viper was first introduced as an armor set in Halo 5: Guardians. The Viper set has two alternate skin designs, Strike and Venom.
