CINDER-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR [GEN2] armor designed for use by Spartan special containment teams.[1]
Overview
CINDER armor features thermal superconducting coatings and a reinforced shock-absorbing gel layer to mitigate the risk of using thermobaric and incendiary weapons at close range. This optimizes the CINDER for use with the M7057 flamethrower. Additionally, the CINDER helmet features a full suite of lab-grade chemsniffers and hazmat filters.[1]
Usage
Used by Spartan special containment teams at UNSC facilities.[1]

Production notes
During the development of Halo 5: Guardians, the production of Cinder armor was outsourced to Berlin-based company Airborn Studios.[2] Internally, the armor began as "A099" when it was first conceived.[3]
