GEN2 overview
Design details
The Tracker helmet has an anti-flare vision shroud that covers nodes as well as a tricloptic node cluster that improves target tracking. The suit has a strain resistant reactor case to mitigate gravity-induced trauma. It also features an energy stack funnel that dynamically adjusts shield resilience.[1]
The suite includes satellite link feeds, persistent silhouette-locking agents, and cloud-induction tracers.[1]
Development history
The Tracker variant is manufactured by Acheron Security and tested at Acheron Trauma Sim. It is intended primarily for long-range tracking of targets, including the following of targets off-world and between continents.[5]
Usage
The Tracker variant is favored by operatives conducting off-world tracking of high risk targets.[2] For example, Tracker-clad Spartans were used to locating Covenant commanders across Requiem.[1]
ONI field operatives make use of several optional peripherals that augment the TRACKER suit's analytical capabilities. ONI asset recovery specialists make extensive use of the TRACKER armor's biological and information forensics functionality to locate their assigned targets - whether man or machine.[3]
In-game information
Halo 4
Tracker was first introduced into the Halo games as an armor set in Halo 4. The armor has one available skin, Adroit (ADRT). As with all Halo 4 armor, the skins were not included in the initial release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, though the release of Halo 4 on PC and the start of Series 4: Reclaimer saw the skin added into the collection as default unlocks.
