Crevice is a Halo Wars multiplayer map.[1]

Set on the Flood-controlled planet, the map is dominated by various Flood biomass accretions that can attack and be attacked by the player.

Strategies

The map is scattered with empty base sites, so securing these and building supply pads/warehouses on them could be useful for quick upgrades, which means Cutter is a good leader on this map. Expand to a second base, unpack an elephant in the middle of the map to take the hooks, and dual pump Scorpions from your second base.

A relatively unknown Covenenant strategy is to play as the Brute Chieftain and do the following: Build a second base immediately, while the expansion is building put two warehouses on your main, then 2 warehouses on the expo, another 2 warehouses on your main, then a temple on your main, and a hall to pump grunts out of. Lock both bases, and upgrade some (not all) warehouses. After a few games, you will develop a rhythym to upgrading your warehouses, then pump Brutes out of your 2 bases and grunts from your hall and steamroll the enemy.

Trivia

  • The map has a night and day feature. When it turns to night, Flood are spawned from spawning points. They remain on the map until killed.
  • The map also has several crashed Forerunner transport ships on its surface. Similar to the Campaign Cutscene Forerunner ships but much smaller and varied slightly in shape. They are easily viewed once the game ends and the fog clears.
