Breach of the Bulwark is the twenty-seventh mission of Halo: Spartan Assault.

Introduction[edit]

Once Spartan Palmer secured the landing zone, a constant stream of UNSC forces was re-deployed to X50's surface. The Forerunner signal continued to loop. The scientists were having a hard time pinning down its exact origin point. Meanwhile, Covenant forces recaptured a series of turrets along a large gorge called the Arid Sea. UNSC would require significant fire power to break through.

Spartan Palmer took command of a battalion of Scorpions and Grizzlies in an effort to eradicate the Covenant turrets. As she fought, UNSC scientists began to crack the Forerunner code. They were beginning to suspect it was not an ancient voice at all. It was something quite recent... and it was calling for help.

Trivia[edit]

Strategy[edit]

  • Taking out the Covenant Emp'seam-pattern Antlions is relatively easy using the Grizzly you start with. The tank's weapons will destroy the Antlions without much trouble, though their fire can damage the tank if you are not careful about avoiding it, but the player needs to be careful of various Covenant turrets, ground forces Ghosts and Wraiths which can all be easily destroyed by the tank.
  • Once the last turret is destroyed, clear out the remaining Covenant in the area which tends to be a small number between the last Antlion and the end of the level.

Notes[edit]

  1. ^ Roland was activated on December 5, 2557. The events of Halo: Spartan Strike also takes place during 2557, as shown by the introductory cutscene of Operation A: Orphic Spear. Being a sequel to Halo: Spartan Assault it is implied (although not confirmed) that the present day events of Spartan Strike take place after those of Spartan Assault.
