Infinity (Halo: Combat Evolved map)

Template:Multiplayer Map Infobox
Infinity is a level unique to Halo PC/Mac's multiplayer. It is based on the level 'Halo' from the Halo: Combat Evolved campaign. It is the longest multiplayer map, being a long canyon shaped in a ∞ symbol. It is meant for 10 people or more. One of the best maps for the race gametype.
It consists of two large bases, containing a large signal beam emitter (going into the beam will kill you), as seen in the "Halo" campaign map. One emits a red beam, the other blue. It houses a Banshee at the top, as well as Shades. A smaller, secondary building lies below, containing a health pack. On top of it is a fuel rod gun. In the center of the map, there are four long suspended bridges, similar to the ones seen in the beginning of the "Halo" campaign map. The top two bridges hold Rocket Launchers. At the ends of either of the lower bridges are teleporters and in the middle are medpacs. There are also ladders leading to the top bridges. There are small ridges in between each upper bridge that each contains a shade. There is also a small maze-like structure on one of the routes to blue base.

Glitches
There is a glitch that you can do at the bases:
You just need a Ghost get the ghost up to the top of the base(which ever one your at) and then get it in to that little spot between the base and small walk way that leads up to the Banshee(s),then when its in there(it has to be in a certain way but it's VERY hard to explain) just get under it's "wing" then try to flip it over, but the way it's in it will just come back down on top of you then you will be launched into the base but you'll need to move your self to get into the area that the laser fires from, if you don't you'll just die(and you might not get into there because you'll either have the Ghost the wrong way or by just something weird). Their is another way to get into the area the laser fires. First you put the ghost on the first level of the base. Then park your ghost backwards at the area the laser fires. Remember to leave room for yourself. Throw a Plasma 'nade in front of it and quickly go to the back. Once the 'nade blows up the ghost push you into the wall and into the chamber. Sorry the only way to get out is to kill yourself.
