The map is set in an misty, open environment with many openings and chasms, for a diverse amount of combat in a Forerunner environment.[1] This map is based off of the Halo: Combat Evolved level, Halo. The map will feature a large Forge palette.

Trivia

  • A Warthog can be seen in two of the photographs of Tempest on bungie.net. A Mongoose can also be seen in a separate picture.
  • The tower itself appears reminisent of the bases on the Halo 3 multiplayer map Vahalla.
