The map is set in an misty, open environment with many openings and chasms, for a diverse amount of combat in a Forerunner environment.[1]The map will feature a large Forge palette.

- A Warthog can be seen in two of the photographs of Tempest on bungie.net. A Mongoose can also be seen in a separate picture.
