The RAIJIN next-generation powered assault armor leverages the latest exoskeleton advances and Mjolnir BIOS extensions for a new breed of super-soldier serving corporate and government interests.[1]

In-game Information[edit]

Halo 5: Guardians[edit]

Raijin was first introduced as an armor set in Halo 5: Guardians in the Cartographer's Gift update, unlockable through the Requisition system. The Raijin set has two alternate skin designs; Sprite and Stormstrike.

Production notes[edit]

The Raijin armour was created by the Berlin-based outsource studio Airborn Studios.[2] Internally, the armour was known by the codename A087 during development.[3]

References[edit]

Raijin is a god of lightning, thunder, and storms in Japanese mythology. Fittingly, the skin names both reference lightning; a "sprite" being a small burst of lightning from cloud to an object, and "stormstrike" presumably being a lightning strike.
