CYCLOPS-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR [GEN2] armor designed for urban combat.[1][2]
OverviewEdit
Design detailsEdit
The suit can use intrusion software to connect to both UEG and Covenant urban infrastructure networks, levering their hardware and databases to augment its own network of emplaced sensors, drones, and tacnet links.[1][2]
Development historyEdit
Cyclops armor is designed for combat in urban and industrial environments, with the UNSC Infinity's increased engagement on rebellious human colonies and Covenant worlds presenting ideal testing grounds.[1][2]
In-game informationEdit
Halo 5: GuardiansEdit
Cyclops was first introduced as an armor set in Halo 5: Guardians in the Warzone Firefight update. The suit has no skins.
Helmet | Description | Unlock requirements |
---|---|---|
Cyclops (helmet) |
The CYCLOPS can parasitically connect to both UEG and Covenant urban infrastructure networks, levering their hardware and databases to augment its own network of emplaced sensors, drones, and tacnet links. | Uncommon REQ card |
Cyclops (body) |
CYCLOPS suits are urban predators, created to hunt in dense urban and industrial environments. The UNSC Infinity's increased engagement on rebellious human colonies and Covenant worlds present ideal testing grounds. | Uncommon REQ card |
Production notesEdit
- "A product of IMC's secretive Io Design Lab, small superconducting loops spaced throughout the CYCLOPS subassembies and a more powerful fusion power pack give a substantial edge in fights that make use of tactical packages. A stripped-down version of the CYCLOPS power system is being tested for use as a backpack-carried energy source for UNSC energy weapons"
- — Cyclops' description in Halo Online early builds.
At various points in pre-alpha builds of Halo Online, a number of unique suit designs were given the Cyclops name. Due to the game's turbulent development, these names frequently swapped between builds, though none shared the design of the Halo 5: Guardians iteration.
