Emerson Tactical Systems[1]

Type:

MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor (GEN2)

VOID DANCER-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR [GEN2] armor developed by Emerson Tactical Systems.[1]

Overview[edit]

Development history[edit]

The VOID DANCER suit does not meet all Mjolnir standards, sacrificing compatibility so that Emerson Tactical Systems can integrate its own black-box components. This answers many tactical questions for the UNSC special forces community, but its unique design features has raised alarms in ONI.[1]

In-game information[edit]

Halo 5: Guardians[edit]

Void Dancer was first introduced as an armor set in Halo 5: Guardians. The Void Dancer set has one alternate skin design, Comet, which was implemented in the Battle of Shadow and Light update.

Production notes[edit]

"Hardened against the perils of exoatmospheric operation and equipped with the latest threat assessment firmware, the VOID DANCER is Acheron's entry for the ODST's Generation After Next armor upgrade competition. Costly and tempermental, the VOID DANCER is a risky gambit for Acheron in the UNSC's post-2552 "procurement wars.""
— Void Dancer's description in Halo Online.

While Void Dancer debuted in Halo 5: Guardians, it was at one point slated to appear as a useable armor set in Halo Online, with strings in the game's pre-alpha builds providing a full description for the armour - though now non-canon due to the game's cancellation.

The Void Dancer armour in Halo 5 was created by the Berlin-based outsource studio Airborn Studios.[2] Internally, the armour was known by the codename A082 during development.[3]

Trivia[edit]

Void Dancer was the nickname used by 343 Industries franchise writer Kenneth Peters on the Spartan Games forums, prior to their closure.[4]
