CHALLENGER-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor.[1]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
Challenger armor is built on a PROTECTOR frame subjected to hundreds of additional tests and quality assurance checks. This variant also has high-performance thrusters and shield emitter arrays.[1]
Development History[edit]
This variant has hundreds of additional tests and quality assurance checks are to minimize performance quirks that negatively impact War Games performance. The high-performance thrusters and shield emitter arrays require constant stress monitoring and adjustment to avoid critical failure during a match, much to the dismay of Infinity’s support teams.[1]
In-game information[edit]
Halo 5: Guardians[edit]
The Challenger armor set was created primarily for the first Halo World Championship tournament in March of 2016. During the tournament that month, the Challenger armor was available for free for a limited time on March 20–21, and could be unlocked by watching the tournament's finale on Twitch with a linked Xbox Live account. When done, the player would receive a limited time Halo World Championship REQ Pack. This armor set wasn't available otherwise. [2]
The Challenger armor features a retooled Protector chest and shoulders with Ricochet forearms.

Production notes[edit]
The "Halo World Championship 2016" logos do not canonically appear on the CHALLENGER armor.[2]
The CHALLENGER armor shares its name with a glove customisation piece available for use in Halo Infinite multiplayer, for the Mark V [B] armor core. It is not clear whether the Infinite gloves have any relation to the CHALLENGER armor set.
