GOBLIN-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor [GEN2].[1]

Development history

The UNSC Infinity's Fireteam Shadow tested GOBLIN suits during the Requiem Campaign. Production models of the suit were also not fitted with sensor-warping technology that was rumored in the prototypes.[1]

Halo 5: Guardians

Argonaut was first introduced as an armor set in Halo 5: Guardians. The suit is not a fully-original design, and employs several Halo 4 armor pieces including the EVA shoulders, Ricochet forearms and Recruit legs. The Argonaut set has two alternate skin designs; Idmon and Nestor.

Production notes

The Goblin armour was created by the Berlin-based outsource studio Airborn Studios.[2] Internally, the armour was known by the codename A061 during development.[3]

Trivia

  • Both of the armor's skins are named for goblin-like folkloric beings.
    • In German and Danish folklore, an Erlking is a malevolent king of fairies or elves.
    • In Korean folklore, Dokkaebi are mischievous (though generally benevolent) nocturnal spirits.
