MIRAGE-class Mjolnir is a variant of the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor derived from the Semi-Powered Infiltration armor.[2][1]
GEN1 overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The MIRAGE armor takes the form of SPI suits designed for the SPARTAN-III program, upgraded to MJOLNIR standards intended to be employed by any Spartan generation. Once the standard helmet of SPI armor, MIRAGE-class Mjolnir makes use of an upgraded MIRAGE-class helmet. The gauntlets are designed as a refinement of the RIFT-class force amplification gauntlets. Overall, the suit is light and resilient, though considered not as robust as the MJOLNIR program's efforts. However, it is able to be manufactured at a fraction of the price while meeting the same basic performance requirements.[1]
IIC overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
In-keeping with the theme of cost-effectiveness, the Mirage IIC builds on the foundation of the GEN1 Mirage and Semi-Powered Infiltration armor program. Some helmets compromise the full range of GEN3 capabilities, significantly reducing their cost, complexity, and the augmentation requirements of the operator.[3] All this results in a multi-role powered assault armor that meets baseline GEN3 Mjolnir standards.[4] Mirage IIC's reactor is built into the techsuit, being covered by the chestpiece.[5]
Usage[edit]
The Mirage IIC armor was worn by Spartans Jaarov and Zhinn during the Battle of Suban in 2560.
Variants[edit]
A list of variants compatible with the Mirage IIC platform.
- Athlon - A variant used in combat training exercises, upgraded from GEN2
- Balor - A variant equipped with the MSN-04 active sensor cluster
- Belus - A variant of all-purpose combat helmet
- Erinyes - A variant based off of War sphinx technology
- Extender - A variant for pilots
- Neith - A variant that feature an updated version of the GEN2 Tracer sensor suite
- Nexus - A non-Mjolnir prototype helmet made compatible with the Mirage IIC armor. It feature an autonomous netwar rig and swarm drone controller
- Skymarcher - A variant that emulates Covenant and Banished control systems
- Street Viper - A variant under close re-evaluation
- Tyro - A variant with multiple ultra-wideband interface channels
- Veles - A variant for intelligence collection
