TriviaEdit
- In Irish mythology, Balor (or sometimes "Balar") was the leader of the Fomorians, a race of monstrous and evil supernatural beings. Balor is often described as a giant with a single large eye that causes destruction when it is opened. This detail is possibly referenced in the helmet's visor design, which could be interpreted as looking like a single large eye in the process of opening (this is more noticeable in the concept art of the helmet).
- The design of the Balor helmet, as well as the designation of the MSN-04 sensor cluster, are likely a reference to the MSN-04 Sazabi from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.
