The OGUN-class helmet is a variant of combat helmet compatible with the OSTEO combat engineering suit.[1]

Overview

Design details

The Ogun helmet was designed to be used by personnel tasked with the breaching and exploration of derelict starships.[1] The helmet is compatible with the Lumen ProLight attachment, which provides illumination is darkened areas.[2]

The Ogun helmet was developed by SinoViet Heavy Machinery for use with the OSTEO combat engineering suit.[1]

Usage

This helmet has found a critical role in maintaining the vessels of the surviving UNSC fleet in the post-war era, being utilized by personnel as they locate and extract otherwise irreplaceable components from civilian vessels and destroyed UNSC warships.[1]

Trivia

Ogun is named in reference to Ogun, a warrior and spirit of metalworking that appears in several traditional African religions. This is particularly fitting given the helmet's use by personnel tasked with breaching the hulls of derelict vessels and freeing key mechanical components.
