Overview
Design details
The Cestus helmet is compatible with the XAH-23 Acoustic Hailer attachment, which is a prototype acoustic hailer configured for use against non-human species.[2]
Development history
The Cestus helmet was developed by Korolev Heavy Industries for use with the MJOLNIR GEN3 platform. The creation of the Cestus helmet was spurred on by necessity as well as desperation.[1]

Trivia
- A cestus is a boxing glove used by the ancient Greeks and Romans. It can also be used to refer to a girdle or belt worn by women in ancient Greece.
- The description for the Cestus helmet reads: "Necessity is the mother of invention, but desperation is the father." The first half of the description is a famous proverb commonly associated with the story The Crow and the Pitcher found in Aesop's Fables, as well as Plato's Republic.
