The CAMAZOTZ-class helmet is a helmet made for augmented human personnel.

Overview

Design details

The Camazotz is a helmet developed for use by augmented humans affiliated with the Banished and their Venezian allies. Eventually it was made compatible with the GEN3 Mjolnir platform and usable by UNSC Spartans.[1]

Halo Infinite

The Camazotz helmet and its attachments are available for multiplayer Spartan armor customization in Halo Infinite, being introduced during Season 05: Reckoning.

Production notes

References

The helmet references Camazotz, a bat spirit from Mayan mythology, with its name meaning "Death Bat" in the K'iche' language. Likewise, its attachment references Vetala, a spirit from Hindu mythology who possesses dead bodies in cemeteries; the Vetala are usually comparable to western vampires.
