Overview
Design details
The Tormenter helmet bears significant resemblance to the power armor commonly worn by many Jiralhanae Chieftains, particularly with its central horn, fan-shaped frill, and protrusions extending to both sides of the frill. The helmet also features two mandibles bearing distinct resemblance to those of Sangheili.[2]
Development history
The Tormenter armor was developed by the Banished.[1]

Production notes
Tormentor, alongside the other Banished armour featured in the Banished Honor update, was originally concepted to consist of two preset armour kits. Due to the unpopular fan reception of those fixed kits, the designs were split up into individual armour pieces to allow for player customisation.[3]

- ^ Reddit, The Brute armor in Banished Honor was originally supposed to be it's own armor core: "These were initially concepted as armor kits, which meant no per-piece customization. Given the pretty much unanimous dislike of those more restrictive kits, we shifted these to be armor set pieces that would allow for more mixing and matching. In my eyes, we all still got sick looking Banished Spartans while also retaining the ability to fully customize their character. The pivot was a win for everyone imo" - John Junyszek (Retrieved on May 18, 2024) [archive]
