Dahk'rah is a Kig-Yar Skirmisher in the Banished.[2]
Biography
Early on during the Battle for Zeta Halo in 2560, Dahk'rah and studymaster Ciar 'Yaham took an interest in the totem rings scattered across Installation 07; determined to be the first to uncover the mystery of these artifacts, the two convinced Zeretus to set up Annex Ridge as a research outpost to study the totems.[1]
Ciar 'Yaham later discovered a Forerunner datastream in a beacon. 'Yaham sent a datastream to Dahk'rah,[3] who analyzed the datastream and helped 'Yaham with his research, though they were unable to complete interpret the data.[4]
At the end of May 2560, Dahk'rah and Ciar 'Yaham left Annex Ridge to study a set of totem rings nearby.[1] While they were away, the outpost came under the assault of John-117, who killed the outpost's occupants and destroyed the siege-hauler at the landing pad.[5] On their return journey, Dahk'rah and 'Yaham came across Evocus and his Jiralhanae; they were told of Escharum's death and offered the Jiralhanae's war-skiff to make a swift return to Annex Ridge. The two took the war-skiff to the devastated Annex Ridge, where they recovered the data stored in the totem ring being studied in the outpost's lower pit — it contained a recording of the monitor 117649 Despondent Pyre musing over the ring's history. Having spotted UNSC forces gathering at the nearby FOB Kilo and moving towards the outpost, the two retreated from Annex Ridge to search for a new base of operations.[1]
