Annex Ridge (location)
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Annex Ridge was a Banished research facility established on Zeta Halo during the Battle for Zeta Halo. Its main purpose was to study, store and transport the mysterious Totem rings scattered across the Ring's surface. The Jiralhanae commander Zeretus was in charge of the outpost.[1]
History[edit]
Battle for Zeta Halo[edit]
- Main article: Battle for Zeta Halo
During the Battle for Zeta Halo in 2560, the Banished established Annex Ridge, where they conducted research on the ring's artifacts.[2] Spartans Rosado and M. Jaide detected signal spikes from Annex Ridge, and hijacked one of the Barukaza Workshop siege-haulers, which carried at least three ring artifacts.[1] They likely managed to escape with the siege-hauler, as the same transport was later reported as lost by the Banished commander Zeretus.[1]
In late May of 2560, John-117 discovered the outpost and attacked it in order to stop the Banished from learning more about Zeta Halo. He destroyed the facility's fuel silo, causing a chain reaction that destroyed a nearby Barukaza Workshop siege-hauler before it could transport several Ring artifacts offsite.[3]

An early in-progress blockout for the area, before it was significantly reworked. The feature wall (highlighted in yellow) was the only part of the location to survive into the final release unaltered.[4]
