Blightlands

Blightlands are regions infested and transformed by the Flood to create an environment where the parasite can thrive. These regions feature specialized growths capable of harvesting energy from the soil, solar radiation, and any form of life. If left to fester and spread, blightlands will eventually consume a sufficient amount of biomass for the construction of city-sized spore towers, oceans teeming with Flood Super Cell, and pseudo-organs designed to complete the process of consuming an entire planet. Blightlands also host several dangerous organisms, such as the Blightstalker, a keymind which prowls the region as it coordinates local Flood forces and hunts for any survivors.
