The Halo 4: Original Soundtrack is the musical score to Halo 4. Like the Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, it was split into two volumes. Volume 1 was released on October 22, 2012.[1] Volume 2 was released on April 8, 2013.[2] The soundtrack was composed by Neil Davidge.[3] Though this was partially fixed with the release of Volume 2, many tracks used in the game are not included in the soundtrack albums.

Original Soundtrack Volume 1[edit]
Halo 4: Original Soundtrack is the physical CD format of Volume 1, released on October 22, 2012. The physical CD format includes:[1]
- The first 15 tracks, ranging from Awakening to Green and Blue.
- An exclusive free download voucher for:
- Three additional tracks from Neil Davidge: Armour, To Galaxy Extended and Foreshadow. Modified versions of these tracks were later included in Volume 2.
- Three remix tracks : Ascendancy (Matt Lange Remix), Arrival (Norin & Rad Remix) and Green and Blue (Andrew Bayer Remix).[5]
Standard Digital Edition[edit]
Halo 4: Original Soundtrack Standard Digital Edition is the digital format of Volume 1. It includes the first 15 tracks, ranging from Awakening to Green and Blue. However, it does not include any bonus content, contrary to its physical counterpart which offers additional tracks.[1][6]
Special Digital Edition[edit]
Halo 4: Original Soundtrack Special Digital Edition is the digital format of Volume 1 with some bonus content. It includes:
- The first 15 tracks, ranging from Awakening to Green and Blue.
- A digital PDF booklet.
- Six remix tracks: Awakening (Gui Boratto Remix), To Galaxy (Sander Van Doorn & Julian Jordan Remix), Ascendancy (Caspa Remix), Revival (DJ Skee & THX Remix), Requiem (Bobby Tank Remix) and The Beauty Of Cortana (Apocalyptica vs Neil Davidge).[1][7]
Special Limited Edition[edit]
Halo 4: Original Soundtrack Special Limited Edition is a 2-Disc Box Set released on November 4, 2012. It is available in limited quantities and includes:[1]
- The first 15 tracks, ranging from Awakening to Green and Blue.
- Downloadable tracks, including the exclusive Desecration.
- A bonus album with all the 14 remix tracks.
- The exclusive Making of Halo 4 Music DVD containing over 70 minutes of unique behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and recording sessions from Abbey Road.
- An exclusive hardcover book on the Making of Halo 4 Music featuring production and composition notes from Neil Davidge plus exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and exclusive artwork images.
- An exclusive 12"X12" art print from Todd McFarlane, signed by Neil Davidge.
- An exclusive 180g heavy weight 12" Vinyl Full color Picture Disk of Master Chief and Cortana in a uniquely designed Sleeve bag. The Picture Disk features To Galaxy (Sander Van Doorn & Julian Jordan Remix), Revival (DJ Skee & THX Remix), Awakening (Gui Boratto Remix) and Ascendancy (Caspa Remix).[8]

Original Soundtrack Remixes[edit]
Halo 4: Original Soundtrack Remixes is the bonus album featuring all the 14 remix tracks. Its physical format was basically included in the Special Limited Edition. It was later made available apart, but only in digital format. The 14 remix tracks are : Awakening (Gui Boratto Remix), Green and Blue (KOAN Sound Remix), Requiem (Bobby Tank Remix), Ascendancy (Caspa Remix), To Galaxy (Sander Van Doorn & Julian Jordan Remix), Haven (Hundred Waters Remix), Revival (DJ Skee & THX Remix), Ascendancy (Matt Lange Remix), Nemesis (Alvin Risk Remix), Solace (Maor Levi Remix), Arrival (Norin & Rad Remix), Green and Blue (Andrew Bayer Remix), Foreshadow (James Iha Remix) and The Beauty Of Cortana (Apocalyptica vs. Neil Davidge Remix).
Original Soundtrack Volume 2[edit]
Halo 4: Original Soundtrack Volume 2 is a collection of additional tracks that were not available in previous albums. It was released on April 8, 2013. Contrary to Volume 1, Volume 2 is only available in digital format. Though most of the tracks are still from Neil Davidge, Kazuma Jinnouchi's work is more prominently featured, including his interpretation of Never Forget from Halo 3. Overall, Volume 2 includes 20 tracks, ranging from Atonement to Majestic.[2][9]
