The Chel Tor-pattern storm cutter is a class of light attack ship used by the Order of Restoration, a San'Shyuum-led remnant faction attempting to revive the now-defunct Covenant empire.[1] They are similar to the more common Mutan Et-pattern storm cutter, which was heavily used by the Covenant.
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
The Chel Tor has multiple internal decks, including ones that contain the ship's bridge, maneuver drive, slipspace drive, and pinch fusion reactor, alongside a deployment bay capable of housing strikecraft and dropships. A gravity lift links the decks in a similar role as an elevator on a human starship. The deployment bay is at least 100 meters (330 ft) in length, with an energy barrier allowing it to remain pressurised while craft are launched. The ship's overall relatively small size makes its interior layout easy to memorise.[1]

Operational history[edit]
Chel Tor-pattern ships are used by the San'Shyuum of the post-war era. Throughout the years between 2553 and 2559, several had been hunted down by Shadow of Intent, a Kerel-pattern assault carrier serving in the Swords of Sanghelios fleet tasked with hunting down San'Shyuum war criminals from the order; Tul 'Juran remarked that once she had been aboard one such vessel, she had seen them all. On November 5, 2559, Juran and and a strike force consisting of Vul 'Soran, Stolt, and Ova 'Mavamu boarded the Chel Tor vessel Vigilance with Piety. The boarding action was intended to capture the former Minister of Abnegation Kafo Dein, though the Sangheili were spotted and the ship set to self-destruct. As such, the former three ('Mavamu having been killed) escaped the craft in Forerunner war sphinxes that Dein had been transporting aboard the ship, engaging Vigilance with Piety's fighter complement before it exploded.[1]
