"A good place to look might be... I don't know, the nearest nonexistent launch site in the nonexistent Sabre Program, dismissed by three administrations as preposterous rumor... And in which our newest member was certainly never a pilot."
Catherine-B320
One of the launch sites used during the Sabre Program.

The Sabre Program was an experimental program conducted by the Office of Naval Intelligence, intended to develop a well-armed and maneuverable surface-launched space-superiority starfighter. The product of the program, was the YSS-1000 "Sabre"-class starfighter, and several launch sites were maintained which were used for orbital defense during the Fall of Reach, and possibly other inner Colonies. During the Fall of Reach, the Sabres were used for Operation: UPPERCUT where they were used to defend Anchor 9 and board the Covenant Corvette Ardent Prayer as part of the plan to destroy the Covenant Supercarrier Long Night of Solace. The plan worked, but the Sabres were destroyed with the Ardent Prayer as the crews were forced to abandon them due to not being able to return to them.[1]

The program was classified at the highest levels. According to Catherine-B320, it was dismissed by three administrations as "preposterous rumor".[1]
