Torsion field

A torsion field is a piece of technology employed aboard Forerunner warships. Torsion fields could be used to alter the flight paths of other vessels; one such field projected by the Didact's flagship Mantle's Approach was easily able to throw aside the Librarian's comparatively tiny expeditionary vessel Audacity immediately preceding the Didact's composition of Omega Halo's humans during the Battle of the greater Ark. Torsion fields are presumably related to the torsion driver and torsion plate technologies similarly employed by the Forerunners, indicating the torsion fields are somehow related to gravitics.
