Talk:SPARTAN-III Beta Company

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Information[edit]

I dont think all that information is needed in this topic. The info in this subject relates to more than just the beta company.

Really? I was just looking for more info for the article. But do you mean Project CHRYSANTHEMUM or the Spartan-III template? Respect them Grunts, --Mouse among men 22:54, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
As soon as I get Ghosts of Onyx from the library,(Its on request 3 of 3 sadly ) I will help you all out! Grievous797

Shouldn't Kat and B312 be listed under Noble Team instead of "unknown"#@lof@n1234 22:52, 17 February 2011 (EST)

That would imply that Noble is a Beta Company team, when if anything its an Alpha Company team - Carter, Jun and Emile. Then you get two Beta's, Kat and Six, and a II, Jorge. It would also imply that Noble was the original team for Kat and Six, when Kat was probably part of another unit and Six was on his own for a long while. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 04:13, 18 February 2011 (EST)

Actually Kat was one of the original members. She had been with the team as long as Carter had. The rest had been replacements at some point. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 10:07, 18 February 2011 (EST)

But to have an Alpha in it too, it looks like a team independent from the company. I would imagine that Kat was separated from Beta at some point leading up to TORPEDO to form NOBLE. Not being original teammembers, Emile and Jun would have been moved in from their own units afterwards. Even if five of NOBLE were Betas, there's still an Alpha in the rollcall.-- Forerunner 11:25, 18 February 2011 (EST)

All 300? Really?[edit]

I dont think it says anywhere that ALL 300 were at the battle. Please fix. Noble Six proves that not all were at Pegasi. He was pulled out a couple months before then.--User:JohnSpartan117 03:37, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

List of appearances[edit]

Ghosts of Onyx should be the first listed, unless the Layout guide is wrong.

"The section "List of appearances" must only contain official Halo titles in release date order."
Halopedia:Layout guide

--Spartacus TalkContribs

I've undone my last edit per the Layout guide. I'm glad you've pointed this out. For the last year or so, nearly every article has listed games, then books, then comics, then Legends, then live-action trailers. I suppose I and several other Halopedians have taken this incorrect format for granted. I think that the official layout style is much better, anyway. I'll try to bring lists of appearances into line with the Layout guide in my subsequent edits. --Courage never dies. 20:22, 2 February 2012 (EST)
Yeah I agree. I think I've made the mistake before. Then the other day I looked over the Layout guide and realized.--Spartacus TalkContribs

Only 300 Betas?[edit]

I'm sure that you guys also realized that both Kat and Six both have tags upwards from 300, so I'm going to propose we switch around that part in the infobox that says there are only 300, and have it say that there are either "about 300" or "more than 300". --Aspari 14:35, 24 June 2012 (EDT)

I'm sorry, didn't notice the parts that said there were 418 candidates and 300 of them were chosen, so I'm assuming there were a few Spartans with tags under 300 that weren't chosen. Sorry.--Aspari 15:04, 24 June 2012 (EDT)

The 300 that were part of Beta Company participated in Operation:TORPEDO, where 298 of them were KIA. The other 118 candidates such as Kat and Six were pulled out of the company so that they would not be killed in the suicide mission.--Spartacus (Talk | Contribs) 16:46, 24 June 2012 (EDT)
