Talk:MA3A assault rifle

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Well is this real?

Please, before you place a FactOrFiction template, review the article, note if it mentions where it was used, and then go to whatever part of the book that the event being described took place and read it. It says the weapon was used by the Eridanus Rebels in 2552. The date tips you off that it is the Halo: First Strike Eridanus Rebels, rather than those in Halo: The Fall of Reach. So I flipped open my book and skimmed it briefly and, voila, page 257. "The Master Chief linked mission telemetry with Cortana as Jile's men met them in the landing bay - six men dressed in black coveralls with old MA3 rifles slung over their shoulders."

MA37?[edit]

Just reaching for a connection here, but I feel like the MA37 that will be in Halo: Reach is part of the MA3 series (after all, it is the MA37.) Could anybody second that page being merged into this one? 108.6.5.241 03:31, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

Looks like Bungie separated the two branches. The Marine refer the rifle as a MA5 series but the Army refers it as a MA3. Seeing that most of the weapons were used by the Marines, it goes to the MA5. This article right here is about the MA3 used by the Marines...(7alk) 03:34, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
