Talk:Durban

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

I think the connection here is strong enough that it does not need an in-book citation. Wikipedia lists three entries for "Durban": the South African city, a Spanish painter (obscure enough to lack an article), and a minor French municipality (which also lacks an article). Now, the argument could be made that the city could possibly draw its name from any one of these sources. However, when one considers that the planet, Biko, has the same name as renowned South African activist Steve Biko, the meaning behind the name Durban is clear. I don't think you need a book reference to establish that -- no more so than you'd need it to show that Cortana was named after a famous mythical sword. --Jordan117 08:33, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

I love bees[edit]

I have deleted the reference section for the "I love bees" part, because the "I love bees" letters did not state anything, nothing that we know is correct, anyways. They were just a hoax by Bungie to build hype for Halo 2. —This unsigned comment was made by Bllasae (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

It's not a hoax, it's an ARG publicity stunt. Different thing. The canon-ness is disputed, but Bungie has started making references to ILB in canon matieral. The HGN, for instance. --Dragonclaws(talk) 21:57, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
