Sicatt Workshop

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

"As the Banished looks to extend its reach beyond the shadowed corners of the galaxy we have remained hidden in, Atriox has expressed his desire to bring new kinds of weaponry to bear—the kind that was spoken of in the old stories across the three moons. It was for this purpose that Sicatt Workshop was born..."
Vulcus reflects on Sicatt Workshop's history and purpose.[1]

Sicatt Workshop is a Jiralhanae-led clan workshop aligned with the Banished,[1] responsible for the development of weapons primarily for Jiralhanae use, with a focus on voltaic and electromagnetic pulse weaponry.[1][2][3]

Overview[edit]

Products[edit]

Facilities[edit]

Sicatt Workshop maintains a sizable presence on the Banished dreadnought Ghost of Barolon, which features sufficient facilities in order to research and develop military hardware.[1][2]

History[edit]

Formation[edit]

As Atriox began to extend the reach of the Banished outside of the shadowed corners of the galaxy they had largely relegated themselves to during the Human-Covenant War, he desired to bring new kinds of weaponry to bear against his enemies. In particular, he was interested in voltaic weapons that had once been used in combat prior to the First Immolation and the Jiralhanae's induction into the Covenant. Such weapons had been spoken of in stories commonly passed down to the Jiralhanae living on Doisac's three moons: Warial, Teash, and Soirapt. In order to research and revive these old technologies to once again weaponize them, Sicatt Workshop was formed.[1]

New developments[edit]

To assist them in their efforts, Sicatt Workshop was able to locate several old vaults on Doisac containing examples of directed energy electrolaser technology. The workshop's Alchemy Corps technicians in particular have been intimately involved with the efforts to harness this technology for combat purposes—efforts that have produced satisfactory results. Sicatt Workshop technicians aboard the Ghost of Barolon, a Banished dreadnought, have made considerable progress with their Sicatt Workshop shock rifle, though Vulcus of the Alchemy Corps believes the technology could be pushed even further.[1]

During the Zeta Halo campaign in 2559 and 2560, Sicatt Workshop's weapons were manufactured at the Banished's Armory of Reckoning on Installation 07.[2][3] Also in 2560, the Banished made a move to secure Suban's supply of unique Subanese crystals for themselves. With a greater supply of this resource, the Alchemy Corps aboard the Ghost of Barolon intend to discover new applications for the crystals.[1]
