Chieftain Ipso is a Jiralhanae warrior serving in the Banished. In 2560, he was one of the leaders of the Banished attack on Suban, leading forces involved in a raid on the Mines of Shua'ree.[1]
Biography[edit]
In 2560, Ipso and his forces were some of the many deployed by the Banished armada over Suban. During the engagement, Ipso found himself engaged in combat with a combined Swords of Sanghelios-United Nations Space Command force consisting of Sangheili and SPARTAN-IV personnel in the Mines of Shua'ree. When initially making himself known, Ipso taunted the Sangheili with the knowledge that their homeworld - Sanghelios - was burning at the hands of the Banished. He then proceeded to attack the group alongside two Captains armed with Ravagers. While the two Captains were dispatched by Fahl 'Nto, Ipso was able to use the distraction to get up close and swing his gravity hammer for a killing blow. This attack was prevented by the Spartan "Glyyss", who threw themselves in front of Ipso's gravity hammer in order to save 'Nto's life.[1]
After killing Glyyss, Ipso attempted to retrieve his hammer to finish off 'Nto, though the arrival of a Swords-aligned Phantom forced Ipso away from the area. While the joint strike force was able to escape, they did so at the cost of the fall of the Mines to Ipso and his Banished troops.[1]
Equipment[edit]
During the attack on Suban, Ipso wielded a gravity hammer and donned a suite of armour emblazoned in Banished livery.[1]
