Overview

Design details

Main article: Assault cannon

The Wicked Grasp is a specialised variant of assault cannon, designed to use magnetic fields to shape and contain incendiary gas in a manner similar to other plasma weaponry. It has a blue-cyan colouration, and requires a short charge-up before firing. Once the bolt is fired, it can track aerial targets in a manner similar to the heavy fuel rod cannons of anti-aircraft Wraiths.[1]

Usage

Although typically wielded by Mgalekgolo, Wicked Grasp are sometimes ripped off dead units to be wielded by Spartans as heavy weaponry.[1] They have been integrated into War Games simulations for use by SPARTAN-IVs.[3]

In-game information

Halo 5: Guardians

"Equally effective against infantry as well as medium vehicles, the Berserker’s Claw requires a short charge up before it can be fired, but does fire projectiles that will explode on impact and possibly take out a cluster of targets with one shot. The projectiles also track flying vehicles, and are a great counter to early vehicle play."
— Senior Systems Designer Dan Wiksten, regarding Berserker's Claw.[2]

Wicked Grasp was added to Halo 5: Guardians in the Anvil's Legacy update. It is an Ultra Rare 4 energy REQ card that can be requisitioned in Warzone.
