Halo: Point of Light

Halo: Point of Light is a novel set in the Halo universe by Kelly Gay, and was released on March 2, 2021.[1][2] The novel continues the story of Gay's 2019 novel Halo: Renegades.

Official summary[edit]

August 2558. Rion Forge was once defined by her relentless quest for hope amidst the refuse and wreckage of a post-Covenant War galaxy—years spent searching for family as much as fortune. But that was before Rion and the crew of her salvager ship Ace of Spades encountered a powerful yet tragic being who forever altered their lives. This remnant from eons past, when the Forerunners once thrived, brought with it a revelation of ancient machinations and a shocking, brutal history. Unfortunately, the Ace crew also made dire enemies of the Office of Naval Intelligence in the process, with the constant threat of capture and incarceration a very real possibility. Now with tensions mounting and ONI forces closing in, Rion and her companions commit to this being’s very personal mission, unlocking untold secrets and even deadlier threats that have been hidden away for centuries from an unsuspecting universe....[1]

Plot synopsis[edit]

Months after the Librarian's imprint gave him the mission of "right what the Forerunners did wrong" below Mount Kilimanjaro, Spark reflects about his life as the human named Chakas, his fateful encounter with Bornstellar, releasing the Ur-Didact from the Djamonkin Crater, how the Librarian connected his', Bornstellar's, and Riser's lives and how, of the three of them, now he's the only one that remains. After his reflection, he sees the Halo ring on the Saggitarius Arm, the same ring Spark never expected to see again.

Three weeks earlier, on August 2558, the Ace of Spades crew lands on the planet Sonata, to visit Rion's mother and inform her about John Forge's death.
