In 2560, a Banished fleet invaded the moon of Suban seeking to claim its mines of Blamite crystals. This resulted in open hostilities with the Swords of Sanghelios who has pledged to support Suban's keeps in protecting their mining sites.[4] The Banished and the Swords fleets engaged in battle in the moon's sky.[5][6]
Background
Created uprising and Sanghelios

In October 2558, the Created would send a Guardian Custode to Sanghelios as part of their attempt at subjugating the world.[7] They would eventually and for a time occupy it, placing the world under an appointed administrator.[8] In contrast, Suban was a low priority for the Created and suffered minimal damage.[4]
In December of 2559, Cortana died during the Battle for Zeta Halo.[9] Created control over the Guardians would end with her[10][11] and the Created's command structure was largely severed.[12] For Suban, this meant debilitated local security.[4]
Banished
With Cortana's dominion over, the Banished would rush to fill the power vacuum.[13]
Battle
During the battle, the Banished continued to ship materiel from their mining operation via siege-haulers.[2]
