Design details

Main article: VK78 Commando

The Impact variant of the VK78 Commando has increased damage and expanded magazine capacity from 20 to 40 rounds, though with reduced accuracy.[3] It has additional yellow coloration on certain components, including a yellow stripe across the heatshield and the forearm as well as the magazine.[5]

Usage

The Impact Commando was employed by UNSC forces during the campaign on Installation 07 in 2559-2560.[2]

In-game information

Halo Infinite

In campaign, the Impact Commando is a special weapon awarded to the player in the Forward Operating Base progression system upon reaching 2,700 Valor. The weapon can be acquired at any Forward Operating Base. It has an increased magazine size from 20 to 40, with each round dealing more damage, though it has reduced accuracy via greater bloom. Furthermore, the magnification optics decreased from 2× to 1.4×.[2]

In multiplayer, when players pick up or spawn with the Impact Commando, their customization options are automatically applied to the weapon model, and the unique appearance of the Impact Commando is lost.
