History

Human-Covenant war

Main article: Human-Covenant war

Lethbridge Industrial created many large-scale manufacturing plants on Sargasso by 2546; the town Belisk was built around these plants. The Office of Naval Intelligence had invested a large amount of money in the town's Lethbridge facilities to produce military-grade gear and munitions. When the Covenant attacked the planet in 2546, ONI sent in Orbital Drop Shock Troopers to recover valuable research data from the facilities. While Gamma-Six unknowingly served as a distraction, Alpha-Nine was tasked with retrieving the data from Lethbridge's headquarters in Belisk. Although the Covenant was unaware of the importance of the data in the facilities, they nonetheless sent out a contingent of soldiers to destroy the manufacturing plants.[12] Alpha-Nine was eventually successful in recovering the data from the facility,[13] and it was transported to Lethbridge, Concord.[12]

In December 2551, during the UNSC's defense of Concord, Covenant activity was witnessed at the corporation's combat fields outside of Lethbridge. Sergeant Sigrid Eklund of the UNSC Army Rangers was informed of the event and contacted Commander Renna asking for additional information on the activity and if her troops should mobilize to secure the combat fields.[14]

During the Battle of Mombasa in 2552, UNSC Marines took shelter in a Lethbridge Industrial building in New Mombasa Sector B. The building itself was then used by a Protos-pattern Scarab to cross into nearby canals.[10]

Post-war

In 2556, Lethbridge Industrial was one of several companies "Flagged for Review" by ONI after the Sedra terrorist attack.[15]

Production notes

Lethbridge Industrial is a reference to Dan Hammill, a Monitor on the Halo Waypoint forums and founder of Ready Up Live, and Jeff Wood, who is a staff member of the aforementioned community.[16] Both Hammill and Wood reside in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Ready Up Live have created a tongue-in-cheek website for the company.

Halo Online

Lethbridge Industrial was supposed to be the owner of several locations in the now non-canon Halo Online including the complexes seen in Reactor and Diamondback. Lethbridge were to continue to manufacture the VENATOR-class armor, but also manufacture two new sets; the SCEPTRE-class MJOLNIR and the BREAKER-class Mjolnir.
