Armor cracking unit

Armor cracking units are small Forerunner automatons designed to break through Forerunner armor, including combat skin, usually for the purpose of sabotage. They are about the size of a human fist, and have been said to resemble metallic fleas.^[1]

Armor cracking units were employed during the conflict on Installation 07, where they infiltrated ships and sabotaged the armor of the Forerunner combatants within.^[1]
