The Steward is a kind of Strato-Sentinel, used to accompany other Forerunner machines and assist them with their tasks.[1]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
Stewards are enormous, towering strato-sentinels with powerful grapplers and responsive thruster systems, designed to accomplish tasks far too great or tempt for others. From large-scale terraforming to tectonic alteration, Stewards are often given seemingly impossible (and infrequent) assignments to maintain infrastructure or environmental fabric of an installation.[2]
The upper section of a Steward is vast and wide, with two "arms". Three glowing eye-like lights are installed on the front of each Sentinel with two "claws" below it. The lower section is lined with four mechanical, tentacle-like "legs". Three glowing eye-like lights are installed on the front of each Sentinel.[1] They utilise impulse drives for movement, and feature grapplers for manipulating objects.[2]
Armaments[edit]
The Stewards are fitted with a combination of support systems and offensive weaponry.[1] Their weapons can be mounted on modular hardpoints, alongside their energy shield emitters. They carry armies of Aggressor and Constructor Sentinels with them to assist in their duties of both maintenance and combat. The weaponry carried by a Steward is such that they are considered a threat to their installations, should they be subverted (such as in instances of the logic plague).[2]
