Overview

Gameplay

Halo Wars 2

Hold the Line

They are featured in the mission Hold the Line as defensive structures in order to slow down the Banished from destroying the object, the buildings can be healed but won't be rebuildable upon destroyed.

Terminus Firefight

In the Terminus Firefight gamemode as an upgrade of the Fence. As an upgrade of the Fence, the barricade has more resilience, and has three of its own further upgrades. The Barricade upgrade costs 200 supply.

  • Barricade
    • Population cost:
    • Supply cost: 200 (default)
    • Power cost: N/A
    • Cooldown: 10 seconds
    • Passives:
      • Forge - His Warthog can give the building a slight armor boost.
      • Johnson - The barricades are free via Digging in Deep and his can be boosted with a line of sight while a Bunker Barricade can be incredibly boosted of line of sight via Remote Sensors
      • Jerome - His boost won't do anything but it's very effective with Bunker barricades as all components will be boost, regardless of the aura's range.

Upgrades

  • Bunker Barricade - An upgrade that turns the barricade into a garrisonable structure, allowing up to three infantry squads to man the barricade. The upgrade requires Tech Level 1 and costs 300 supply and 100 power.
  • Fortified Barricade - An upgrade that increases the barricade's health. The upgrade requires Tech Level 2 and costs 600 supply/ 100 power.
  • Regen Barricade - An upgrade that allows the barrier to heal itself and any friendly units in the vicinity over time. The upgrade requires Tech Level 3 and costs 300 supply and 400 power.

Tips

  • Overall
    • Upon late waves of Vultures or Scorpions, try to make them use their specials on the buildings as much as possible whenever they destroy one already built Floor Blades but it's recommended to not keep spamming the Floor Blades as the enemy A.I. can be granted a Veterancy.
  • Bunker
    • Don't put any melee units regardless.
    • Marines and Heavy Grunts are very incredible preforming within a bunker mainly since they are decent at preforming at any units, also a SPNKR Launcher/Fuel Rod member is very effective with the air waves
    • Adding detect units will help you/your allies to see enemies that are forced cloaked
    • Brute Grenadiers will be effective with the range boost since they also leave a puddle of Infusions upon max upgrade, also they can attack air units which the ground units will be effected with the infusion.
    • Pavium is also effective when he enters one of them and also the the bunker gets damaged, Pavium's Drone will passively heal it.
    • Jerome and Shipmaster's infantry have boosted range and upon entering a Bunker, their range is slightly increased.
    • The Chosen can outrange any infantry unit upon entering one, and also he can attack air from afar which is something siege units lack.
  • Fortified
    • On early waves, they can put up some resistance when it comes to Vulture and Scorpions using their specials on them.
  • Heal
    • It's recommended to put uber units on them so they can tank more of the damage from the enemies, Scarabs are more recommended since they can attract every unit regardless if enemy unit can attack air or not.
