UNSC Battle Group Sierra-3 was a battle group that fought in the Battle of 18 Scorpii that spurred Vice Admiral Preston Cole to seek out the Covenant at Psi Seprentis leading up to the Admiral's last stand. At 18 Scorpii the battle group engaged a Covenant destroyer, nearly themselves destroyed, when a hitherto unknown group of independents lead by the Bellicose helped to destroy the Covenant ship and proceeded to quickly jump back into slip-space. The captain of the battle group noted he didn't believe in "ghost ships," but thanked the rescue all the same.[1][2]
