The MA40 Longshot is a modified variant of the MA40 assault rifle used by the UNSC Marine Corps.[2][5]
Overview
Design details

The Longshot variant of the MA40 assault rifle has increased precision capabilities, raising its performance at long-range.[4] It has additional yellow coloration on certain components, including the ammunition counter, the charging handle, and the magazine. Despite the name and increased ranged performance, the rifle does not appear to employ a Longshot sight.[6]
Usage
The MA40 Longshot was employed by UNSC forces during the campaign on Installation 07 in 2559-2560.[2]
