This rebel group was an anti-UNSC Insurrectionist organization, based on the colony worlds of Harvest[1] and Arcadia.[2][3]
Description
This group operated on Harvest and Arcadia in 2531. The seal of this organization is of a stylized white fist on a red circle, and is found on nearly all of their units.
Military assets
The rebels employed several bases across both Harvest and Arcadia, though made much use of stolen UNSC equipment. Rebels have only ever been seen to deploy infantry forces, primarily squads of light infantry typically wearing red garments, grey hoods and minimal armor and armed with MA5B assault rifles and M41 rocket launchers . Their bases and sites, however, are additionally garrisoned by sniper teams wielding SRS99-AM sniper rifle variants. Rebel bases range from small outposts and camps to fortified campuses with fencing and concrete structures. These bases are protected by repurposed turrets and watch towers, all of which painted in the same crimson, white and grey colour scheme.
Gameplay
Rebels appear in Halo Wars as a third party hostile to both teams in the multiplayer mode, and do not appear in the campaign. The rebels occupy base sites on maps set on Harvest and Arcadia, fulfilling the role occupied by the Sentinels and Flood in maps set on the shield world. On these maps, rebel bases spawn at various points around the map, defended by turrets, watchtowers, infantry and snipers. These bases - once destroyed - can be claimed by the player for construction of a Firebase or Citadel. They additionally appear on some maps such as Blood Gulch, defending neutral reactor and supply elevator buildings on the map.
Trivia
- Many units, such as infantry called the SCI trooper and a repurposed Warthog, were concepted by Ensemble for inclusion in Halo Wars but never made it into the final game. The SCI trooper was designed to use a salvaged and modified EMP gun powered by a static dish.
